Does anybody here do doordash? I’ve been thinking about a little side hustle for myself and teenage daughter. The money would be used towards our family vacation, Disney 2021. My husband and I are dual Army so this would be a weekend thing only. Maybe for a few hours. Any tips, tricks and feedback is appreciated.

Make sure you go to wavesofhonor. com and get free tickets to sea world. We added that to our trip to Disney and it was great!

@cordes Thanks for posting this. My husband is military and we are going this year. I didn’t know about this offer!

Check with your local MWR travel and leisure office! So many discount and free tickets!

@tapster awesome! We are at Fort Gordon. I know all about MWR but didn’t realize some parks have free military tickets. Thanks for the info!

@cohn78 I just came from Gordon. You want to go to travel office next to meme and Bobos across from the commissary

I did door dash for a while! I felt like with how much I was driving, the gas, the wear and tear, the money wasn’t that great. I also did Bite Squad and they were better, because if you didn’t get any orders in the night, you still got paid. Doordash, if you don’t get any orders, you don’t get paid.

I currently do it and I keep an eye on the payout and miles I have to drive to know if it’s worth it. Friday’s and Saturday’s are normally the days I do it.

My boyfriend has done a few delivery services and currently prefers Uber eats, he can make about $60-80 in a few hours and it’s a way for us to spend time together without spending money  it’s not too bad and it’s nice to just pick up and go on your own time/schedule. I guess the downside is the 1099 during tax time! Also during busy times there will be bonuses on each order and incentives to make more money. the best time to deliver.

I do DoorDash and I love it! I think it depends on where you live

My husband and I do it and love it. We live in a college town so it’s really busy. The other day we made about $250 in less than 6 hours. Our town is pretty small too so less driving distances. Totally worth it for us!

My fiancé and I do doordash and I don’t think it’s really worth it. They barely pay you and as far as I know you don’t get the tips the customers give you. They use the tipping for the base income and then give you the rest which is not fair

It’s not really worth it. You waste gas, time, and mileage on your car and get very little money.

Do Amazon Flex! You know how much you will make when you accept the block. I had a 4. 5 hour block to deliver packages. I finished in 2. 5 hours. So I made $81 in 2. 5 hrs vs the 4. 5 I was scheduled for!

@woodland1536 is the income for amazon flex already taxed? Or do you have to pay when you file? I've considered doing this but I'm already self employed paying estimated taxes - so definitely want to stick to an already taxed side hustle

@salba it’s not taxed

I do doordash and for myself it's been great. I do lunch and dinner times, sometimes a little longer. I don't what the other person was talking about but I get the tips the customer leaves. For instance today I did 3 hrs and made $60.

If you have Grubhub in your area they are better. You get paid if you dont get an order.
