Does anyone else constantly check their budget several times throughout the week? LOL. I track my entire budget on a running excel spreadsheet. I get paid twice a month, salary - so my numbers run pretty consistent. But I am always checking my spreadsheet, not in an anal way but in a "can't wait til payday so I can start knocking out these debts" kinda way. I have my sinking funds through capital one and I will log in a few times a day just to look at the numbers in my savings accounts and feel slightly proud - like I may actually be succeeding at this "adult budgeting thing". Oh, just me? K nevermind lol :)

I get paid weekly and can’t wait to look forward to payday to schedule my payments. I’ve saved my budget via Google sheets where I can easily access it on both desktop and mobile phone. I look at my budget spreadsheet 2x-3x throughout the day and before I go to bed. LOL ‍♀️ it motivates me to hustle the next day

I fiddle every day, several times a day. just flexing the numbers, etc. I get paid on Fridays so on Thursdays is when I decide which fiddle I liked the best and commit to that lol.

I have a running excel spreadsheet as well. salaried so i know what I'm getting every week. I have my bills split in 4 and I leave myself 20 to 35 a week cushion. I check mine at least everyday. looking at where I can change my numbers to throw more at my debt. My spreadsheet is made out through July lol

I’ve been trying to check mine everyday. I tend to fall of course when i get behind in my tracking so that’s been my goal for January & February. Sometimes it’s just checking my account to make sure nothing has come out.

@clynes43405 I need to tell him this! LOL right now, the idea of being out of credit card debt by the end of the year, probably sooner TBH, is the most exciting part for him. We still have cars, motorcycle, house, and school loans for me but I would rather have those than $13k+ in credit card debt!

@hamitosemitic Exactly! Just tell him hey, it could be worse - I could be the opposite of how I am now, which would be not giving a crap about the budget and just swiping all of our money away without a care in the world. Which would you rather have huh?! LOL

I found that once I started checking my budget and numbers, I wasn't ignoring my dismal financial situation. I even have it on my calendar for 'budget review' the day before every pay day (I have 4 pay days during the month) and then 'pay bills' on the day I get paid.
