Can anyone help with a slow draining bathroom sink? We have always had an issue with the water draining slowly for our bathroom sink but it's getting worse. We've tried sink unblockers, baking soda and white vinegar, boiling water, even a bottle of coca cola and although they help it soon starts happening again. Trying our best to not have to get a plumber out, next step would be to remove the pipes under the sink and try sort ourselves. Any recommendations on how to sort this will be greatly appreciated. Our bathroom is only 2 years old ‍♀️

First step should always be to unscrew the pipes. I do this on a regular. I thought that was a normal spring clean thing. No need for a plumber. 3 girls in my house and 3 boys. Loads of hair trapped in the pipes.

It should only be 1 section that needs unscrewed. with 2 ends.

Take the waste pipe off under your sink and give it a proper clean.

If you can take it off & clean it, if not I've used "one shot" before it's a drain cleaner but take care with it.

Try doing the bath/ shower at the same time the blockage may be connected if all on same plumbing ( hope that made sense lol )

Take it apart and clean it yourself I do it maybe you have hardened residue empty or cupboard put a plastic container under the pipes yo catch any drips

If you have a plug that you press to close and press again to open the top may unscrew there maybe a cotton bud or hair blocking the pipe

We tried a full bottle of coke. Left it over night then put boiling water down. Maybe leaving it longer may help

A full bottle of bleach and leave it over night, it will dissolve hair etc whatever is causing your water to run away slowly .

Ours was caused by a blockage on the large connecting pipe from the bathroom to the outside of the house going down to the drain itself maybe worth a check good luck

Mr muscle drain unblocker always works for mine. Empty full bottle down, leave overnight then run very hot water for a few minutes.

Big plunger. We called a plumber for him to fill the sink and plunge the water down. With a big cone like plunger!
