Don’t wash your towels with fabric conditioner. I’ve always washed with white vinegar and detergent (fabric conditioner blocks the fibres) xx

@trapani3836 I washed my bedding and a few towels (all white) using a cup of white vinegar in wash last week - along with detergent pod and conditioner - and I could still smell the vinegar when the wash was done. Any advice would be welcome please.

@inclusion hey, have you use white vinegar as in the star drops stuff? Not the stuff from the food aisle? I use proper cleaning white vinegar (79p a bottle at home bargains) and I can’t smell the vinegar on the towels or clothes. I use it on my OHs work uniform too  The stuff in the food aisle is ok to use when actually cleaning but I find the scent a lot stronger than the cleaning white vinegar xx

@trapani3836 yes it was Stardrops lol! I def didn't expect to still be able to smell it. At least it isn't table vinegar, that wd really stink!

@inclusion it really does stink!  Not too sure why you can still smell it, I can’t smell it on any of my things and I don’t use fabric conditioner alongside it! Very confused.

White vinegar instead of fabric softener, it takes a couple of washes but it really makes a difference x
