Tried to wash my boyfriends white Van's and they've gone yellow? Any ideas on how to get them white again? Literally hand washed them with normal detergent. X

I cleaned my daughters with a dishwasher tablet and they came up like new. Run the tablet under the tap and scrub all over then a 30 wash in machine

Are they all white? If so get some WHITE bleach and leave them to soak in a water/ bleach mixture and then put them in a normal short 30/40 degree wash with towels x

Ahh never put white shoes in the washing machine. Air will have oxidized them and caused the dirt to turn yellow. I think maybe trying 1tbsp of baking soda, 1tbsp of water and 1tbsp of hydrogen peroxide (if you don't have hydrogen peroxide maybe try white vinegar. ) Mix them all together in a bowl and get a spare toothbrush and apply two layers of the mixture on each shoe, even dump the laces into the bowl with the rest of the mixture and stir around. Place them outside or wherever has most heat. Once dries you will see the baking soda is still there and flakey, just dust off with the toothbrush and voila! ☺ Hope this helps, good luck.
