Hi my daughter came home from school yesterday with tippex on her black school sweatshirt & trousers, so I googled how to get it off & it said to dab the mark(after scraping the excess off) with white spirit on cotton wool & leave to soak for 15 minutes before washing it off in the washing machine. The white marks have gone, but my washing machine still smells slightly of white spirit (after washing them twice) is there any way I can get rid if the smell before putting another load of washing on?
