Question

My son was sick on his carpet a couple of months ago (there was a lot of it). I cleaned it up and scrubbed it pretty well with hot water, washing up liquid and a sponge, but the bedroom has that dusty vaccum bag smell if you know what I mean. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can go about getting rid of this? Thank you.

Can you spray some diluted zoflora on it? It’s antibacterial and so should kill anything growing that would cause the smell. Personally, when my kids are sick on the carpet, I use powdered biological washing powder mixed with loads of water. I did stain a very cheap carpet once and so I dilute loads now and dry with towels and then add just water and dry that too. No more stains and never any smell x

Get some pet accident spray cleaner , i used it when my twins were babies , removed sick smell from carpets and matress

Spray with white vinegar

Spray with vinegar and leave overnight then cover with bicarb and leave as long as you can (overnight if possible) then hoover hopefully that helps get rid of the smell

Get a pack of bio washing powder and sprinkle on the carpet. Leave it an hour, then vacuum it up.
