I had the same problem I took off the pump and cleaned it it has a small Bush in there and it has dislodged causing the pump to stop working

@heater7805 this is what i had taken out and water still high up. I poured boiling water down it 2. Is the clip on far left one u r referring too that became dislodged?

@winepress no it's the actual pump you have to take the left side off and it's under there on mine it's a twist pump

@winepress that's the filter, not the pump :) it's normal for water to sit at the bottom of the bit where you took the filter out of. Nothing to worry about

@caspar8 i know its the filter hun :). Water over flowing over this and rhe water is dirty. Its nkt draining away and ive cleaned it all out. All debris has been removed. But its sitting over all of this. I know some water normal but its excessive whats left :). So i reckoned my pump was maybe blocked with food or something so need to gain access to it

@winepress no worries hope you manage to fix it

Get an engineer out. Could be glass or something stuck in the pump itself but you’d need to take the access panel off which you shouldn’t do yourself. If you can’t sort it by cleaning the filter and sump you can access from inside, or rule out a blockage in the sink trap itself where it may connect to call a white goods engineer.

@aerophobia thanks George. Im fairly competent with mechanical and electrical goods. Found the fault and rectified it now :)

@winepress mine won’t even switch on, tried a different fuse and different plug socket so it’s half full and no power must be a fuse in control panel but I need to empty it as well ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

What make is it?

@fondly its a BUSH
by (12.6k points)
Is it emptying when you use it or leaving water in the actual base ?
by (4.3k points)
@aleenaleetha its first ive noticed hun. Was always emptying and its quite new. I have just emptyied it after a cycle and noticed its full and nor drained away. Lools like dirty water ans its just sitting there like when your drain clogs in your sink
by (12.6k points)
@fondly theres always water that sits in there hun it’s to stop smells coming up from the drains (This is mine not sure if you can make it out) if they’re blocked you get bits stuck all over your dishes they don’t come out clean xx

@winepress if u go on internet and type in bush dishwasher not draining there r lots of you tube videos showing solutions - we’ve got a temperamental Bosch!

Do you mean the hose
by (4.3k points)
@scrofulous42 i think its classed as the pump ? No idea lol.
by (1.1k points)
@winepress ok. my hose or pump or whatever you call it was blocked. I disconnected it and ran the garden hose through to unclog what was stuck in and that worked ❤️
by (4.3k points)
@scrofulous42 ooo interesing. I like that, quite inventive. I thought i was called the hose but maybe as I have been lookong at american videos they call it a pump loo

This also explains it better than me  Should there be water sitting in the bottom of my dishwasher? Some water (standing water), usually one to two cups, remaining in the bottom of the tub is normal. . Without a high drain loop or air gap, dirty water from the sink can flow into the dishwasher and cause bad smells

Locate the float switch. I had a issue like this with my dishwasher where the water would not pump out. I relocated the dishwasher and the float switch/anti flood switch was moved and became stuck and that was the problem.
