@aime bleach doesn’t work in hot water

@aleenaleetha that was proven to be untrue, bleach works fine in warm and hot water x

@aleenaleetha I’ve been washing my cottons on a hot wash with bleach for many years as did my mum and nan and I can confirm it does work.

Says on the bottle use with cold water. I used bleach in my machine and it rotted all the rubber seen it has done the same to other ppl too so absolutely would not recommend using bleach in your machine

@karlow by who? it even says it on the bottle

@goff10 all our machines here in Canada have a place to put you bleach in. Plus we use hot water as our bleach can be used at any temperature

I’ve never had any issues with using bleach in the washing machine. Removes any mould build up pretty quick. Strange you’ve had issues with it

I just stick them in the bath with cold water and bleach tbh. Leave them over night, squeeze the water out and put them on for a hot wash. Looks as good as new

If they made of natural fibres, i. e. linen or cotton, wash in high temp and soak in hot very warm water with added bleach to it. Amount of bleach depends on amount of linen. Keep for 1-2 hours, rinse VERY WELL. bleach contains chlorine which is by its nature discolours anything. It is often added in different cleaning product under different names and brands and can cost £££. Dont be fooled. Use any supermarkets bleach for £0. 90

I wash on a hot wash with a scoop of vanish and my normal detergent and always hang in direct sunlight . I tend to only use white bedding in the summer for this reason as it never fails to keep my whites white (not that i have many, 4 kids and 2 dogs have no respect for lovely clean whites )

Soak in diluted bleach then wash with bleach directly into the drum of the washer and put on an extra rinse cycle, then do a normal hot wash! Long but perfect whites every time.

Add Babies Sterilising Fluid. Unbelievably the cheapest in B&M or HB is the best & only 89p! I use it in/on everything. My cups are always sparkling, my cutlery etc. I use it on my kitchen sides & mop all floors with it.
