Hi.  What do you use to clean a freezer?Hi. What do you use to clean a freezer? So far I used pink stuff, baking soda with vinegar. Vinegar on its own, cif power spray. It is clean I think I just want to get rid of the smell. Please help xx

Maybe it needs freezing again mine sometimes has a funny smell when its defrosted even after a good clean . But it's ok when its frosted ‍♀️

A freezer shouldn't smell? and usually doesnt need anything other than a soapy cloth to clean it x

@cherish32 i have got it today and it does have a weird smell. Not sure how long it was defrosted for. X

Clean again and use Milton steralizing fuid or tablets or bicarbonate of soda. They both nutralize smells

Put a cheap jar of coffee inside it as it stops the smell if unplugged when in storage

If it’s second hand, it’s probably been closed for a while. You might just need to air it for a bit before switching on. Or is it new.?

@chevrette it’s second hand. It’s outside atm with a lid open so I’ll see what it’s like in an hour or so x

Id use flash bicarb spray but to be honest they do smell if not in used hot soapy water wash over with flash bi carb(or bi carb and lemon mix) then tuen on it should be fine x
