Question

The cream cushions from our garden sofa are filthy - any tips on how to get them clean again? Has anyone successfully washed them in the machine? I know for fire safety you're not meant to but we are a household of non-smokers and there are no fire hazards around it.

Spray them with HG mould remover foam version leave for 5/10 minutes then scrub with warm soapy water and rinse. They’ll come up like new

@forecourt6936 is this the one? Do you then scrub them with a sponge or scrubbing brush? Worried about damaging the fabric as it says sponge clean

@into9 I used a scrubbing brush. You don’t have to go made you’ll be able to gauge how much. I couldn’t believe how lovely mine came up.

@forecourt6936 this will be great, the zips are well hidden to stop removal so if I can't get them off this will work!

I washed mine cleaned up fine just hung them on line

I washed mine in the washing machine they came out really clean

I put elbow grease on my cream ones leave on for a bit and put them in washer on a 50 wash then hang out to dry done this for a few year now

Mine go in the washing machine as well, come out looking like new

I wash the covers in the machine on a 30/30 wash. they come out fine

I washed mine in the washing machine with Aldi bio washing powder and a scoop of soda. They came up like new.

Thanks all - good to know the washing machine isn't a no-go as would be so much easier! I'll give them a go tomorrow.
