Question

How do i stop brown gunk coming out of steam generator iron ? Ive descaled the plate and the water holder . only use distilled water too but still keeps happening ! Any ideas ? Thanks !

You need to wash out the main tank there's a part a the side not sure on the name of it it will unscrew and you can get into tank on the main unit keep put a little bit of water in and shake it till it comes clear then do it every month or so x

The filter needs changing it’s under the iron x

After using I always empty my water out and give the steam button a press. It just empty’s the tank and wire of water/ steam preventing build up x

I've got a steam generator iron which looks the same as the picture, mine doesn't steam at all anymore and I don't know why. I've cleaned both tanks which included the one with the screw cap. I cant even hear the pump anymore. Any ideas people I've had the iron a few years but hardly used it so a bit vexed if it no longer works properly, sure it cost me a couple of hundred quid as well lol
