My house was the same. It was so bad people didnt realise there were tiles through out the downstairs floors it was so thick with grime. Good old fashioned elbow grease. Scrubbing brush dipped in hot water with lots of fairy liquid and soda crystals. Took 3 days but they came up like new.

Should have had end of tenancy clean before you moved in

I used Astonish for ovens and cookware to clean up after our last tenants and was amazed with the results. I even used it on painted walls. 89p in B&M. xx

I would take photos of the state its has been let out in, that way the Landlord can't blame you if you ever move out for the kitchen and bathroom floors, as if they are badly worn they won't come clean :(. It should have been cleaned before it was let out,

Unfortunately a landlord doesn’t have to have it professionally cleaned before he rents it out to a tenant

Hope you. ve read your tenancy agreement carefully, some landlords stipulate about how the expect the property to be left if you leave, if it's in a state he could turn it around on you and lose your deposit, be wary and take photo. s.
