This stuff works, don’t use regular cement patch.

@derisible did it work for hairline cracks for you? The cracks can hardly be seen on my floor

After you did the epoxy, did water still come through the cracks, thats what I'm trying to figure out.

So, knowing what’s I know now. The first picture is what it looks like if you patch with the wrong patch. We sanded the crap out of it too. The second photo is what a very small crack looks like, painted over. The 3rd photo is the finished product. Despite not doing proper research till after the fact, we’re pretty happy. Pardon out mess, we flooded a bit. Also, the laundry room is a work in progress.

Did you notice any water from the floor cracks after the epoxy? That looks great! My cracks are all over and small

The cracks themselves don't bother me, it's the water that comes up with the heavy rain.

The cracks never leaked, our problem is water coming over the foundation wall, and the water collects in a pool huge pool in the center where the drain is. However, after a quick mop, it drys really quickly, and no longer has that musty smell.

Well good to know. My issue is the floor cracks. But if something is easier to clean it helps A LOT!

Painting the floor won’t seal the water coming up. It will ruin your paint job for sure. You would need to have the cracks addressed first. You could always try patching it yourself. Worst case, it didn’t 100% work, and you’d need a professionally seal your basement.

Me and my husband have a waterproofing and foundation repair business, we live in DP and would love to help you. Leaks lead to mold. It’s important to get them closed right away. Our website is www. roserestorationservices. com

There’s a place on Oakton and Lee that was just opening you right before Covid hit. Not sure they ever got off the ground. I’ll look into it

@partee thanks! I wanna see if it'll fill the cracks. Ugh.

@partee Did you have any existing cracks or spots that were unlevel?

My husband and I did it ourselves, I will say it was pretty easy, and it looks great.

@derisible we did it in our garage too by ourselves and it was SUPER easy. Not worth paying someone to do it

It doesn’t fill in the cracks, there were a few shallow cracks I didn’t patch, and they’re still there.

We used Scharm Flooring and did a laminate/epoxy. We did it after the flooding two years ago. We flooded this last weekend and it appears to be holding up well!

@signesignet was your floor itself letting water in? The cracks will be the death of me.
