Anyone know of a business that hires 15 year olds?

Nope. There’s a law for underaged. It requires they work certain hours, no more than a certain total. Don’t remember the details but it starts with getting signed permission that you’re doing well enough in school to be hired. How that happens now, I don’t know.

@woodsy you are right. there is a work permit. i believe the academic counselor may be able to help cuz it is contingent on grades.

I'd say the park district but that's probably not doing so hot right now. But I think they could get a "work permit" but I honestly don't know how that works anymore.

14 and 15 year olds should file a work permit. 14 is minimum age to work in Illinois. Mine worked at 15 in a school summer camp.

I worked at Bakers square at 15. Your kid would need a work permit. At least that’s how it was 31 years ago when I was 15. ‍♂️
