Where can I find n95 masks?

Do you even understand? N95 is for health workers dealing with patients with respiratory diseases. It blocks 95% of the virus. You need to be prefitted. They need to be disposed of as soon as they get moist, so you get about a half hours use.

N95s are one size fits all. Respirator fit tests are for half-face respirators. N95s can be used for 8 hours at a time/can be reused about 5 times, should be swapped out if they stop sealing well or get clogged.

@madiemadigan Health care workers have fit tests for N95s, as do people working in industries that use aerosols. Proper fit is required for the mask to provide maximum (and stated) protection.

You can't, but you can find the Chinese KN95 at a few places like Shop & Save and Hello Tokyo. They may or may not be counterfeit, may or may not be effective, but they're probably better than most cloth masks

I just can't breath in these masks, having anxiety attacks. Anyone else feeling this way? And not even an N95 one. Can't get it off fast enough as soon as I leave the store.

If you're having anxiety attacks, that's something you need to discuss with your doctor. All the indications are that the virus and therefore masks will be with us for a good while.

@malaya53371 yes, unfortunately me too. It feels like I can't breath and I start getting all sweaty. It's a horrible feeling. I'm going to try a bandana. I think it may be cooler and doesnt cause that heat to build up like other masks. I just ordered a face shield too.

You don’t need them unless you are a healthcare worker. So if you Are not leave those masks for them please. I know to many friends that are healthcare workers that still need them.

@dalton I actually need them for my job even though I don't work in Healthcare. I clear Hoarder's homes when they fall and paramedics can't get to them in a timely manner. They can't be released from hospital till I clear their place. And most jobs have mouse droppings.

I work for Honeywell and we cannot even get them. Only KN95 which are not FDA approved are available in market.

@deflower81328 I have P95 that I used for home projects and paint spraying. I made hand made ones and have some dust ones. They are good and my hubby gets the surgical ones from work.

You can't. All n95 masks are currently going to healthcare facilities, one of JBs many executive orders. I own a funeral home, I can't get them. My suppliers were told if they sell to any entity that isn't a healthcare facility the governor will pull their resellers license. Cops, firemen, emts, funeral homes are all out here with nothing or are working through the stuff they already had in inventory. Thanks JB.

I’m a mod in BEEP BEEP Back up the corpse truck, this person with RIGHTS wants to get in, and I’ve seen a version of this with two or three other governor’s names in it. I don’t know about IL but it definitely wasn’t factual in one of the cases. ‍♀️

@gormless that’s why it’s so important no one be discouraged by this random useless shit they read on their social media feed. Read the news, think critically, vote out those who can’t. Even if these were real people, we elect politicians to make hard decisions. That is what it means to govern. Lots of countries that acted preemptively experienced blowback in the immediate aftermath of their decisions, but now, it is obvious they acted correctly. And, as predicted, we seem to be learning nothing, tempting a second wave without using this brief lull to prepare. Can’t control the Freedumb Caucus.
