Moms, do you have any idea when are schools going to open?. Phase 4 I know, but when is it going to start phase 4?

Depends on if any asshats mess things up for us in phase 3. Hopefully not.

Given the CDC guidelines I’m not optimistic they will open in August.

I got an email from Maine west and if we get to phase 4 they will open with limits. Masks on and social distancing and not all classes will be in school. They said they will open like normal if we are at phase 5. I’m not sure if that is every school this is just the “possibilities” given from Maine west. 100% elearning of course if we don’t get to phase 4 by the first day of school

I also received an email from My son' school asking to do the pre registration. He was planning to start Pre. S 3 years this fall. But I am not sure if they will do e'learning. plus I see hard to keep social distance and permanent masks in kids of that age. Are there other moms in this situation?, what are you planning to do? :?

@matless My 3. 5 yr old is supposed to be starting his first year of preschool at the ELC, he will not keep a mask on so if they start I will probably have to pull him or ask for remote learning for him. He also has an IEP/is in Special Education for Speech.

My daughter is going into 1st this fall. I will be only following medical professionals advice. There's no way she could adhere to the guidelines and keeping mask on all day. I never thought I'd homeschool, but if there's really no socializing I don't see the benefit of even the slightest risks.

Harper Community College has already announced that it will be online for the fall. I think students can come to campus to do labs.
