Did I totally miss the opportunity to buy a small backyard pool for this summer? I like the look of those Intex Easy-Up ones where you just inflate the ring, but I can't find anything online or listed as in-stock in stores. I should have just done this back in March when I first thought of it :(

I think maybe  As soon as they announced pools wouldn’t likely open my husband bought one at Sam’s Club and we got the 2nd to last one. That was about 3 weeks ago.

At least my kid is old enough to handle disappointment? Ha :(

☹️ I’m sorry.

Are you looking for a little baby one or a big rectangle one for the bigger kids?
by (7.4k points)
One bigger kid, but I'm not expecting like *actual* swimming to happen, just some decent splashing and floating. Like < 10ft wide x 30in deep?
by (15.9k points)
@alonsoalonzo638 gotcha! Will keep an eye out. I'm also going out hunting for one today so will let you know if I see one (we left ours out through the winter and it was a pile of muck and mess on the patio when I recovered it this spring).

@tensimeter75 sams club has 10ft pools there were a lot today.

Yes you might have. We got this one like 2 weeks ago. It’s a bestway and it’s great! We found it at Walmart. Hope the still have it! Consider looking into a used one on marketplace too.

I drove to Wisconsin to get the Intex one last week. None around here. It’s 2x the price on amazon.
by (5.7k points)
I have been double checking prices on amazon for months now. Almost everything I was planning to order is twice the price! And now Bezos is cutting overtime wages. Igth. I also just want to add that menards has easy pick up and they have been the cheapest of almost everybody!

Menards had some at a good price, but check with the city first. You’re technically supposed to have a permit for anything over 2 feet deep I think; even if it’s temporary. I know some folks were shut down because pools were installed below overhead power lines.
by (15.9k points)
@convery lol that would be like our whole yard. It drives me insane. Hate those lines. We can't add trees for shade for the same reason
by (1.1k points)
@tensimeter75 I know! Same here, so annoying.

@convery, how does having a pool under a powerline cause an issue?
by (1.1k points)
@carioca I guess it’s considered an electrocution risk? Idk, I hate those overhead lines. The permit says your supposed to have a 5 foot tall fence around the pool too. We have the fence, but the overhead power lines kept us from getting the permit approved.
by (7.6k points)
No idea on cost but I know the previous owners of our house had the power lines buried and I’m so appreciative. Might be worth looking into?
by (1.1k points)
@extrorse looked into it. $$$$$
by (7.6k points)
Now I’m even more appreciative that they paid for it!
