Hi ladies, I’m having a drive by graduation/birthday celebration parade thing for my soon to be 18 year old next week. Should I make some sort of goodie bags to hand out? I’m not sure of what to do or how many people will actually come. Help please!

A friend of mine had her daughter sit on her front lawn w a HBD sign & balloons. Everyone came by and dropped gift/signs and such. It was lots of fun! She did also give out a small treats to guests. Lots of car horns beeping . and most importantly- she had a great time!

Cake pops or cupcakes are a hit and individually wrapped. Just had a drive by for my daughter birthday last week (even in the rain)

We’ve done three drive-by birthday celebrations and nobody has handed out anything, nor have we left anything for the birthday kiddos. I wouldn’t think those driving by would expect to receive anything at all. To be honest, in today’s environment, I would not have wanted to accept anything. No offense to the host or their family-just trying to keep my own family safe from any possible exposure. I think it’s all just for the fun of seeing people you might not have seen in quite a while and the joy of the parade.

I don’t think you should hand anything out. If Eddie was graduating 8th or 5th grade then MAYBE but not for high school. I’d say have him playing outside with the babe and then cars can start going by and when they tell his name we will get it! ’

We drove by for two kids birthdays and there were no goodie bags, nor did we expect any. It was just the joyful experience of being there for each other.
