The running/bike paths are also open at twin lakes in Palatine. Straight up rt. 14 and they have parking, nice and relaxing place too. Not a ton of people either, mostly just a few people fishing. It's a paved two lane path around the little lakes

Lake Arlington? May be too far but it’s a nice mile if not more circle.
