Ways to make strawberries last longer? I can’t imagine they thaw very well after freezing.

@robbery put a spoonful or two in water and let strawberries sit a few. Then rinse. Kills the fungus spores they all have on their hem

Don’t ever rinse them until you’re about to eat them. If you wet them, they seem to spoil quicker

Rinse them with vinegar and water, supposed to work. Can’t say I ever do it, but I heard it works. I think 1 part vinegar and 3-4 parts water

We always do a vinegar water rinse. About 2 cups water to one vinegar. Swish in a bowl, then rinse in a regular strainer with water to get the vinegar off. The vinegar kills molds but if you don't rinse it off, the fruit will stay "fresh" but also get soft and disintegrate from the vinegar sometimes

I wash all my berries and grapes in a white vinegar water bath, and just rinse with water. Makes them last for days in the refrigerator.
