We did Camp Opeka 2yr ago for a week when my son was 9 and he didn’t like it. He goes to West Park and enjoys going.

My son was in both. He loved Arndt Park, they have the clubhouse to themselves and the park is right outside. Walk to Iroquois twice a week to swim. Small group feel. Camp Opeka on the other hand, he did not like at all. The hub for both Opeka and Chickagami are under a covered shelter with picnic tables, they go inside the church on hotter days or rain days. The park is a bit of a trek from the shelter. My son would complain of being hot almost everyday. Larger groups and they were bused to Iroquois for swim days.

My son did both last summer , he was 8. He preferred Camp Opeka , he enjoyed the activities more there like paddle boarding, fishing and overall the camp counselors were engaging and fun with different games and challenges etc. He did west park the previous year and begged not to go back there idk ‍♀️

My 9yr old loves Arndt. Has been going since she was old enough to start there- so like 6? She has never been to the Gold level Opeka- but she did do Opeka for end of year camp and she did not like it. She did not like the shelter and going to the church. She LOVES Arndt.
