What symptoms do kids experience with growing pains? I think I just kept my 6 yr old home from school because of growing pains.

@diocese2054 yea it was everywhere and hard for him to describe but it was really sad I felt helpless. I’ve read that it usually happens at night. Otherwise may be signs of a bug coming. (Aches, chills, fever).

Usually it's in the legs and arms, the long bones of the body. Presents as a deep ache and sometimes skin is itchy near the discomfort.

The latest virus that went through my house. Everyone had leg pain before the sniffles and chills started. Even though none of us ever had a fever.

At night my daughter complains her ankles hurt, especially after she's done a lot of running. And lately her chest hurts. Took her to the doc to make sure cuz she said her heart hurt and it was just inflammation of the joints between the ribs and the breastbone due to sudden growth spurts.
