Completely drawing a blank for a care package gift for my sister in law who will be having her first child next month. What are some things that you would have liked after you had your kids? So far on my list: wine and face masks. I need some new ideas!

Idk if this is weird to send but maybe some things she couldn't eat while pregnant? Soft cheeses?

Also some quality hand cream and cotton gloves for the amount of hand washing clothes (blow outs) or bottles etc. Also some handy snacks while breastfeeding or when you don't have time for a meal, also some comfy PJs, slippers or robe.

@circumfluous53699 lotion is a good idea! Was going to make some freezer meals for them too

Is she planning to breastfeed? A variety of packaged snacks, a nice insulated water bottle, lanolin, and boob pads.

Dry shampoo (no time to shower), chapstick (my lips were so chapped after having babies), cute water bottle (always so thirsty and it’s great when it’s spill proof! ), a magazine (Parents or something that she’s interested in)

I always had within reach my Contigo water bottle (can drink from while upright and top closes/locks- helpful for in the hospital, if she ends up having a c-section, thrown on the couch, etc), chapstick, coconut oil stick instead of nipple cream (works amazing and doubles as chapstick! ), nursing pjs and/or nursing bra, sketcher Bobs slippers, snacks & premade meals

Freezer meals! Our favorite was homemade burritos that were frozen. We were able to microwave them in seconds and it was AMAZING.

@lightfooted6109 yes! I do this for myself even, that's a great meal idea as I was going to make some freezer meals as well!

A new pair of pajamas. My husband's grandmother gave me a pair after I had my first son. It was so nice having some pretty, comfy new jammies. Especially when the days and the nights all blur together during those first few weeks.

The best thing people brought me was food/lactation cookies. I had posted about trouble breastfeeding and another mom whipped up a batch and brought it over. I barely knew her. My mom brought me groceries and meals and babysat so I could shower when my husband went back to work. The other stuff I felt was personal preference and I didn’t use.
