He’s a part time mayor . he will not be participating. I tried contacting him already. he sent me a link to the Des Plaines website  I asked him if he is working with the other surrounding mayors And radio silence

Mr. Becker, you were an alderman. can the mayor waive fees etc, without council approval? Can the city manager waive fees on his own. Perhaps some insight from you would be helpful.

The mayor can call a special video meeting of the city council and request anything to be put on the agenda , Tony Arredia did that in the past when he was mayor, the city manager's roll has changed since I was in office but he is in charge of day to day running of city hall and all operations

Ever since I joined here and noticed you all saying the mayor was missing I emailed him and called and left message but have not heard anything. This is crazy and should not be allowed. DP is a huge community and we need an active and wonderful Mayor. What can we do and when is the election and how many in DP know about this!

I did send him an email and awaiting a response. I know it's frustrating but if we all send kind emails reminding him we're out here looking for support he'll hopefully step up. Key part of this is NICE emails.

@linker5965 lol. I did send the lovely email and in less than 24 hrs he posted his YouTube video, coincidence? I think not. but who really knows. But I am glad he did it. I messaged the post saying I hope to see some regularity in the posts.

@linker5965 I agree. I thought it strange too. Even though our Mayor position is part-time, I still thought we should have see him sooner. Im glad he's put himself out there. He is such a nice guy, from what I've seen.
