Can anyone recommend a non string method of removing a ring off a swollen finger? Cutting it off is not an option. I wasn’t able to do the string idk why.

@lees58341 try elastic band tighty around the finger moving it as you go. Once you get to the ring try to feed the band thru the ring. Once you do you should be able to start unwrapping the elastic and it should bring the ring with it.

I combined the floss method with olive oil and ice water. It took a few days to get both my wedding rings off. One on one day and then had to let the swelling go down a few days before working on the other one. It was really, really hard. Like my finger was bright red and purple for a while afterwards. After all the swelling went down I remeasured my finger and found my rings were 2 full sizes too small.
