It's a year-round calendar. they start in mid-July and they have slightly different breaks (3 "intersessions", sept/oct, december and march, each 3weeks long (dec and mar breaks are the regular district break plus 2weeks more, usually just before or after). That's the main difference. Also it's not a "home" school. you have to apply to get in and it's based on availability of space. It's a good school with good test scores. And it is a K-8 school.
