I went to Costco this morning I saw some people scanning the barcode of the items. why?

I need to go to Costco bad. Just nervous I’ll never get it. Are the lines super long?

@tildy I don’t really know what time they open but when I got there I saw people leaving already with their shopping carts full of stuffs. I’m thinking they open earlier than 10.

@tildy senior hours at 8am-9am, then they’re open to the public after that, starting at 9. My husband gets there around 9:40am and has no issues getting in and out.

@whelp4426 yes that’s the time I got there 9:40 no lines at all. no toilet paper and hand sanitizer today.

@tildy last week they have on Wednesday morning and I got one. limit 1 only. I went again today cos I read somewhere that they usually stock on Wednesday morning but unfortunately they don’t have any in stock today.

@meit87 they're scanning the items that they're buying for someone's order so that it can be verified. Yes, they get paid to be a personal shopper of sorts.
