We need to get out of the house and go for a drive! What are some of your favorite scenic drives or places/ things to see from the car? Can be close or up to an hour or two away even!

I took my girls out to chalk my sisters and parents walk/ patio’s. They were reluctant at first but I told them that we were on a secret mission and everyone flipped. They loved it so much. my kids, sisters, and parents. I know the next few days stink but hopefully Saturday is looking pretty good. It was all safe distancing and boy did it feel good to get out.

I used to drive for a living. My favorite drives were actually just local. Head to the Winnetka area and drive in the area of the lake, or hit lake Forest and drive through the old tree lined streets and downtown, etc. Another option is to take 72 West all the way into downtown west Dundee. Once you hit the river, you can either drive around the waterfront and downtown neighborhoods or hop out and take a scenic walk. I also really love the Geneva and at Charles areas along the fox. Lol as you can tell, I always prefer water or the woods, but woods are more challenging to come by around here in the car

Should add, for lake Forest, anywhere alone Sheridan road will get you started and then you can just wander the beautiful neighborhoods and homes. Lots of big old trees, pretty old buildings and cute businesses

Honestly, I grew up in Bourbonnais. Facetimed with a gal I was acquaintances with, but recently become friends, last night. Had this exact talk that I'm about to tell you about. Go South. There's something about open country roads. Sometimes even just getting out and going for a drive, jamming to some good tunes, it's good for the soul. You can't do that in the suburbs. Every other block has a stop sign, yield, or stop light. Hit them country roads.
