There’s a trail that starts around Devon and Caldwell and goes all the way up to at least the Botanical gardens that’s good for dog walking. Lots of parking lots along the way so you can start your walk from lots of different spots.

I thought dogs were not allowed in the forest preserves. Of course, that was a couple decades ago.
