Question

Has anyone ordered mulch from the city? Any ideas when they start making deliveries? I was told they will still be making deliveries through the shelter in place order. Any one in here have a lead?

We were, but we found someone else. I found his business on next door. We called him that morning and he first said maybe 2 weeks and than he came later that day.  we need more but have to finish spreading the rest.

@jawbreaker31 no problem. We have Japanese knot weed that is spreading like wild fire. This is the cheapest way to try killing it. Lol

The mulch from the city is horrible don’t get it unless you are desperate

We did in the past. As a warning, it’s not all chopped up nice like what you buy. It’s fine and it works, but it’s not “pretty” and it’s sharp b

We have gotten it the past few years, it always comes around Memorial Day. It is very roughly mulched and last year there was glass in it. So be careful.

@ferrigno5 yeah. we ordered A LOT of it and weren’t home when they dropped it off. When we got home we were like “ummmm. no”. Lol. I mean it worked, but it for sure was not nice. Like couldn’t walk on it without shoes or you ended up with at least one cut on your foot. and my kids and I are barefoot ALL the time.

If you need a huge area mulched it’s a good base layer. If we didn’t sell our house our plan was to just buy some nice mulch to put over the top.

@ferrigno5 we got mulch from Mt prospect 3-4 years ago. FLEAS! First time my home ever got an infestation and I do a LOT of animal rescue.
