What are your favorite toddler friendly takeout meals around here that aren't junk food? I feel like at home we resort to a LOT of cheese. Pizza, grilled cheese, quesadillas, ham and cheese. We try to avoid the "kids" meals when we order out and get something proper to shake it up since I'm too tired to cook these nice balanced meals every day. One of our favorites is the greek half chicken with veggies and roasted potatoes, rice pilaf from Evans place. Babygirl kills that chicken  and the veggies are soft enough for a toddler. She also throws down on barbeque and beans. Looking for similar ideas that are local for our next carryout splurge and to keep on our list!

Pita Inn has great food, also Charcoal Delights used to have good grilled chicken and Greek potatoes (I haven't been there in years).

Our son loves indian (he usually splits the malai kofta with rice and naan with me) and Mediterranean (falafel and hummus, salads. )

@augie any favorite places? I've ordered from thalivas before, but haven't tried others yet since usually it's with my mom and that place is easiest for vegan. We can do any food for us though!

@tensimeter75 We ordered from Trilokah the other day for indian and it was delicious. Mediterranean I'm still trying to find THE place. usually i'm not disappointed by any local places but I haven't found one yet that I love. My son and I are vegetarian but my husband orders meat

@augie I'll check it out! Same on the Mediterranean. She likes falafel and hummus, but all we've done are chains and they aren't fantastic. Will keep searching.

@plata973 lol yesssss we got the family meal Friday. She wasn't a fan of the pulled pork, but ate a few chicken wings and some brisket. Oddly she liked the coleslaw too, wasn't expecting that.

Oh very cool. It always amazes me what they decide they like. Last night my son ate cucumbers and peppers and pickles and chicken. I thought that was interesting;)

@meit87 yes, my son also loves the rice and chicken there! That’s the only chicken he’ll eat

My son doesn’t like the chicken maybe cos it’s yellow lol. so I always get the business special and he eats the rice and shawarma and I eat the rest. lol

We order a lot of soup for our youngest and she loves it! But same about the chicken and rice! We’ve also noticed that she enjoys sliders, but won’t eat a burger? Lol. Tacos are a huge hit with our kids.

Texas Roadhouse has a great steak meal with kids. You get a choice of sides- mine gets applesauce.

Mine likes noodles and co's kids meals and usually grabs pineapple and broccoli as his sides. Nok is also really good for Persian food, but I always get the lamb shank so I can't remember what all they had.

Pad Thai was always a hit with my kids maybe not terribly healthy but a way to get in sauteed chicken vs. fried and shredded carrots mixed in. House of Szechwan makes a painfully bland version but for some reason my kids like it. I go for the eggrolls which are delicious. :) Oddly both my kids LOVE sushi. Like would drive us broke on it and have since toddlerhood. So might be worth a try. My son loves salmon or Tuna Nigiri and my daughter eats a bunch of different makis.

Brandys. Wide variety to choose from. Great Greek chicken & rice. I always substitute the fries with their rice on the kids meals.
