Weird question but has anyone been selling things contactless and NOT have the person pick up the item at your home because you’re weird like me and don’t want strangers to know where you live? How would you do a contactless sale and have a buyer pick up the item somewhere other than your home?

A local park! Meet in the parking lot and put it on a bench, then they get out of their car and recover it

@stelle2633 Thank you! For payment is PayPal a safe option? Do you know if that’s a fee for the seller?

@balliol PayPal is great but make sure they send it using family and friends so that no one gets charged a fee. Or if you hand Zelle give them your email or phone number it’s connected to and use that.

@koslo there is no fee if you do friends and family. I use this way to pay everyone I buy things from

@balliol friends and family is not protected. They could say they didn’t receive item and u could have to refund money.

@balliol Zelle which is what Chase Quickpay uses I think, Venmo.

Venmo or the cash app which is owned by square don’t charge fees as long as both parties use a debit card or bank account.

Their house? Or a parking lot with a shopping cart as contact point?

Still need to be cautious with strangers. I would meet at a business parking lot or park and park a few spots away from each other.

When I’ve sold a few things in the past I met in the parking lot of a police station or the lobby. I’ve heard Venmo is ok but not tried it yet. Owned by PayPal but maybe doesn’t charge the fee? Not 100% sure.

I just have a camera in view and my dogs go ballistic when someone is 100ft from the door . They have a choice at that point.

Maybe you should consider eBay.
