Weird question.  so my son is 20 months old and ever since he was born my ankles swell especially if I travel on a plane etc.Weird question. so my son is 20 months old and ever since he was born my ankles swell especially if I travel on a plane etc. This never happened to me before has anyone else experienced this?

My ankles always swell after a plane ride. So do my dads. I thought it was just a pressure thing and that’s why some people wear those socks.

You might want to go in and have your veins checked. Sometimes pregnancy can weaken the valves (called insufficiency) and make your legs swell more.

Yeah. Varicose veins are from venous insufficiency. The valves in your legs don’t close the way they should, so the blood pools more than normal in your legs and leads to swelling.
