Question

Do you know a direct mailing place where I can drop off 25 un-invitations to be mailed or a drive thru where I can get stamps? I really don't want to go in anywhere that I would have to stand in line. Just want something quick and the post office is never quick. I just moved here and I would use a direct mailing place in my hometown, really wondering if they had that here.

Some Fifth Third bank ATMS sell stamps , the one by elmhurst and dempster does.

US Banks ATMs sell stamps, as well as Jewel.

You might be able to get stamps at the drive through at Walgreens. I would call ahead to check.

Go to the little post office on Lee Street. I love that place and there's never anybody in there

Also there's a mailbox out front you can put the letters in there. It's on Lee Street right next to where Via Roma was just before you get to the railroad tracks

Do any of the places mentioned, charge a fee for selling the stamps or is it the same as the Post Office?

If you call walgreens they can sell you stamps at the pharmacy drive thru

@galway I needed stamps last week and went to the post office on Oakton and used the self-serve kiosk. There were people in the normal customer service line but I was able to bypass all that and have no contact by using the kiosk… I was in and out in less than five minutes. I haven’t been to the little post office on Lee St lately, but they do not have a self-serve kiosk. I usually find there’s a few people in line when I go though.

The Des plaines postoffice on Lee street is not bust after 10am. David is the main guy!
