There's literally TONS of this happening. and you could probably find 5, 000 100-page papers on things we wish we knew. Many people follow a general rule of thumb of driving traffic directly to the offer just to see if it converts, then boost conversions with a presell page. You should get a bit more specific with your question. Why are you asking this? Are you trying to prevent your ad account from being B&? Are you worried that you might not make money? What are you actually trying to get at?

Thanks, Thanksriek. I was approached with an offer to do this based on my experience driving B2B leads for clients on the agency side. I'm trying to get a general understanding of the upside and potential pitfalls. So, perhaps some more specific questions are: 1. What do I need to do to prevent my account from being banned? My intent was to create a new FB page with a relevant name for the vertical, create a privacy policy and then use FB lead gen ads to harvest potential leads. 2. The offer is on a percentage of revenue generated (in perpetuity) if a deal closes. Not on a CPL basis. That's a bit of a yellow flag for me, but I'm also a little risk-averse. Thoughts?

@lamp250 Ah okay I gotcha. 1. I don't see much wrong with this at all. If you're going to be running FB Lead ads, then I think it might be pretty difficult to get in trouble, unless your post-submit page isn't compliant with FB's policies. but it sounds like you have a pretty good handle on those. 2. How will you track if a deal closes? That's always been my issue with things like that. Can you trust them to be 100% honest with you on that? Are you getting access to their CRM?

Tyriek, that’s my biggest concern, honestly. They don’t have a CRM, and I have limited visibility, aside from the option to “audit” them every six months.

They have several verticals that I can work on. But the main one they need help with is enterprise financial management software.

Hi Guys, I'm part of a company that does Affiliate Marketing. Wanted to give you a brief overview. Regarding CRM any company worth it salt has some sort of tracking solutions that you should have access to via login. The one thing is sometimes these tracking systems can be a tad unreliable as far as tracking clicks so I would not use them as a robust tracking system, just to check on billable conversions. Regarding running Affiliate Offers, I'd check the T&Cs because I'm not sure you are allowed to put an affiliate link on FB. Thankspically companies I work either post me data or send users to a landing page with the offers hosted there. Hope this helps.

@colin3 true. FB is not affiliate friendly. "enterprise financial management software" I'd be all over LinkedIn with that product / service.
