I'm looking to get a faster browser for ads manager because chrome is killing my CPU. I need a lot of tabs open. Any recommendations? For those who'll tell me I need a better laptop I'm satisfied with the below hardware and don't want to spend more. Operating System: Windows 10 6th-generation Intel Core i7-6500U 2. 5GHz NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M gaming graphic card; 12GB RAM; 256GB SSD Storage. (Upgrading to 500GB SSD)

You shouldn't have 12GB of ram unless you have 3 slots in your laptop, that could be a cause of your troubles Also, Chrome doesn't tax your cpu, it uses your ram. You can try getting another 8GB Ram stick, which is pretty cheap and easy to install yourself. With that said, i normally use Edge but be sure to keep it update because it tends to work poorly when its not. I have 3 browsers installed on my PC. Edge, Chrome, Firefox and generally i will use them in that order. From time to time Ads Manager doesn't want to work in each browser. If you did test it and it showed Chrome was doing to much in your cpu then I can help you there too.

Robert, That is kinda what i was getting at, that is it mismatched ram, you should mix 8GB and 4BG ram, because that could case issues. You want 8 with 8 and 4 with 4 for optimal performance, Sometimes its not an issue but if you are having an issue that is the first thing I would check.

@bathyal what sergio said is completely accurate. 8 gb of the same ram works better than have 8gb and 4gb ram. You need matching paired ram. One ram is performing optimized and the other is not performing at the same speed. It's awful on computers and more than likely the cause of your issue. The rest of your specs are fine.

Have you tried using a tab suspending extension? The Great Suspender is, uhm, great. I use that when I’m multi-tabbing it too much on my Mac Air.

@bathyal almost, but the great suspender works on active tabs too. Try it out, might be useful. With it running I barely notice I’m not running on my Macbook Pro.

I've had my own troubles on my PC with the ads manager which has a 2070 GPU, i9 processor, and 32GB RAM. so your issue might not even be related to your laptop's specs and could be something to do with where and how the ads manager is hosted through Facebook and the high traffic FB has in general. But to kind of piggyback off everything that was said, if you are looking for performance for having a ton of tabs and other stuff open at once, you would look at your RAM and processor for task functionality. I personally think an i7 7th generation is far better than the 6 generation you are running. Not only is it about a 20% performance increase, its iGPU is much better equipped for media and 4k resolution kinds of things. Now if those things are irrelevant, an i7 6th generation should work fine. As for RAM. 12 GB is probably fine, but going 16GB will free up a lot more of that running memory on your laptop. And if you are doing any photoshop, illustrator, or video editing, having a good graphics card becomes more important. when it comes to higher end graphic stuff, you can get by with a 1060, but I would get one that uses 6GB of VRAM vs the 3GB that are the lower end ones. You can't go wrong with a 1070 though, I personally think that's the best value. 1080 is overkill TBH unless you're also using your computer for gaming on max settings. Hope at least some of this helps you.

I would also note that RAM is super cheap right now. I believe you can get a 16GB DDR4 RAM stick on Amazon for like $65.

Thank me later. Best decision you'll ever make if you're managing lots of ad accounts. Also, saves a ton of RAM.
