@batchelor how do you use it ? If you don’t mind me asking?
by (1.4k points)
@gastronome68 I use it for all my team from designers, operations I even use it for my self. Calendars, design takes, to do lists, team projects, keeping track of project stages etc etc
by (580 points)
@batchelor sounds like exactly what I am looking for  what about delivery schedules? I assume it’s probably good for that as well?

I used Monday with a small team to build our site, it’s pretty good but has some annoying glitches

I’ve been liking clickup way better than Monday
by (580 points)
@ives12 yeah? In what way? Thank you!
by (1.9k points)
@gastronome68 almost every way to be honest. No dependencies for one. Monday was restrictive and stifling by comparison. I’ve used almost every task management platform and clickup is the most intuitive and feature rich IMO

Monday has dependencies nowadays.

Been with Monday from the day they were called DaPulse before Monday. been a great app. A bit expensive but it does the job and our team enjoys the product. We have a 50 seat package currently.

It's good stuff, love it so far. Had built out a complex structure on Jira but that was difficult and seemed overkill at one point

Just purchased 2x yearly Pro subscriptions. 1x Company, 1x Private. Love it.
by (580 points)
@amlie what do you love about it ?
by (710 points)
@gastronome68 the way how I can manage my projects/life. It’s hard to describe why exactly. I‘m a professional Scrum Master and working for years in project management. This is the best tool that I’ve tested yet to manage my company which is build complete remotely with a few hand full of full-time employees.

I’ve started to and really like it! I was a project manager at a Biotech startup and used Asana there. It’s much better for large teams IMO.
by (580 points)
@tchad oh Asana is another one I was thinking about. What do u like better in Monday vs asana? Thank you!
by (800 points)
@gastronome68 it depends on your needs. I’m an entrepreneur agency owner now and I use Monday to just to help me keep track of my clients projects. Asana is great for larger teams and across departments (I wanted to implement it at the company I worked for across all of our departments but never got the opportunity).

@rockrose what do u like about it?
by (670 points)
@gastronome68 easy to use, you can build out boards however you want and if you’re creative enough you can manage a whole team under a free account.

I really, really love Asana. After using many project management tools, I find it's the most capable and versatile.  Really though, it depends on what you're looking for @gastronome68  Asana has list view, board view (Kanban style) as well as a timeline view that you can switch between and also allows you to view your team mates' assigned workloads!

Love Monday. com. The location and functionality seems to be designed with better UX in comparison to some others like Asana. All depends on what you need it for and how you process/organize things.

We use Asana. It is amazing. I have used it in my past businesses as well with great success. It is quite expensive though. A new tool called clickup. com has recently got on my radar and that seems pretty amazing and is very competitively priced.

Quick Q for those replying here if you have a sec to help me out ;) Have you heard of Toggl Plan () and chose to use something else, or have you not come across it yet? In a nutshell, it's a kanban board (like Trello), plus a shareable / color-coded timeline (can draw out a project plan, share with the team & clients etc. ). Solid free version for teams of up to 5

Clickup the best
by (150 points)
I was a huge ClickUp fan but ultimately their UI is messy and disorganized. I had a hell of a time training VA's on where to look for everything. Try writing an SOP in ClickUp. We use ClickUp some still but use Process Street for VA's

Monday is very good indfeed, but really expensive. If you've got a larger project with a couple of teams, I would recommend it. Smaller stuff might not be worth it though.

Monday can be really good for coordinating between large teams as long as you think out how best to set it up. I like using Trello to keep track of my personal to do list and imagine it would be very good for a small to medium-sized team.
