Fake FB purchase pixel fires. Hey everyone, has anyone else experienced a ton of fake pixel reporting lately, specifically with fake purchases? I have a few different ad accounts/stores and they are all seeing this. Each day there is a good extra 10-15% of sales that show up the ads manager. Anything I can do to combat this? Its really messing up all our data. Thanks in advance!

The Pixel only fires when triggered. check the purchase URL's in your account to see where they come from. And you will find out it is located somewhere where it shouldn't be.

Place your pixel on the thank you page or a page that is visited after the payment is done for the order. Also make sure your IT team or other teams are not loading the page to test things out.

Yeah just make sure it’s firing correctly and in the right place, also you can try a page after the checkout ^^ all great advice. Also if you want to take another step you can install and have your own 3rd party tracking software that’ll tell you where each purchase is coming from and if it’s fake and more, you’ll have to check out because there’s so many of them. But also like stated above you can check out where they are coming from within Facebook. There are just some countries you can’t trust or advertise to for this reason. It’s unfortunate but that’s just how the game goes so all these things should be able to combat this small issue and your data and reporting back on track!  great job team!

@castellanos appreciate it! I'll take a look at some 3rd party apps as well

There is no fake pixel fire. Your setup isn’t configured correctly. Thousands of sites use it every day without issue.

@rachael7070 not true as there Is a way to manually fire someone's pixel on their website without buying by editing code, I've done it before a few times.

Of course you can manually fire . But if it configured properly, you shouldn’t have any attribution issue.
