FIGHT WITH COMPETITION We have a little „problem“. We‘ve got a big competitor in our niche with a much higher budget for advertising and as soon as they start advertising on fb our CPA skyrockets and we‘re not that profitable anymore. On the other hand, as soon as they leave again we‘ll get much lower CPA and are highly profitable again. How can we fight against it with a lower budget?

Lucas, I had the same problem in November. I’m doing marketing for a women’s hair care brand targeting an older demographic and this brand competes with much larger brands. Unfortunately the larger brands have much larger budgets. The only way I was able to counteract high CPMs($30+) were by having having high CTRs(9-11%). I tested 30 sec videos, 45 sec videos, etc. My best performing ad is a 7 minute video. Why? Because it has way more value and explains the product much better. My CPC is 18 cents. So my suggestion to you is to make a better, longer, more thought out video.

@teraterai342 awesome, nice approach, will definitely need to try it out!

@jalousie7 it’s kind of difficult to split test video length especially at 7 minutes long. Kind of used intuition. I mainly split test the headline and landing page for this particular campaign. I think customers will watch anything at any length assuming it’s value based and interesting.
