IMHO Best combo would be as follows: Use Amazon SES + Sendy for hosting the list and email sequence and product category wise segmentation. For value wise segmentation use a specialized Ecommerce CRM which shoots personalized emails based on what products viewed, added to cart but not purchased. Purchased 3 times in past 3 months but not purchased in two months. Purchased x product from x category so upsell y product from y category. The works.

Since when does Sendy have any degree of automation or segmentation. It's nice for blasting but it's utter crap for auto. I moved pretty fast to mautic the step up from the Sendy ses model.

Is Klaviyo worth the money?
by (1.1k points)
@hetaera754 only if you use it. Email platform should always be a source of revenue.

It’s not even close. Klaviyo.  No other platforms let you optimize in the way that Klaviyo does unfortunately. We have clients doing mid 8 figures a year on it and rocking.

If enterprise then run your own platform. Interspire + AWS SES.

Drip all the way. It's much more robust than Klaviyo. And if you want to go larger, then bronto, sailthru, etc.

@cybernetics Curious to know the reason behind it.

@cybernetics same? What do u like about drip?

So many things guys. Drip is almost like an enterprise version of Klaviyo. Workflow creation is much more robust in my experience. New features get rolled out really fast and their general shopify integration is solid. They're rebuilding their native woocommerce integration too. The combinations of rules, workflows allows you to do crazy things. With Klaviyo, sure you can do a bit of dynamic cart stuff, which is sufficient for most basic ecom usage. Klaviyo is great, don't get me wrong. But I always pick Drip over Klaviyo.

Klaviyo isn't enterprise friendly. It's good if you don't have an inhouse team. If you are serious about email marketing and have an inhouse team who collaboratibely work you would either go with Oracle Responsys or Salesforce. There is a significant cost jump but these systems tools are far superior to that of a klaviyo/emarsys.

What I use for my clients is Klaviyo and in my opinion it’s the best for ecom. You can almost do everything with klaviyo with regards to automation your sales process. Hope this helps
