I’m getting a lot of fraudulent orders on my shop. Not sending anything out. But how do I stop it? Using Shopify. CVV & AVS ticked. Anything else I can do? I don’t want to make it too difficult for legit purchases either.

What are fraudulent orders? if you did get the money it should be fine, if you let people order without payment - there is the solution. but, thats just my 2 cents ;-)

There are a few obvious ones with big fat red triangles next to them. I’ve already got the money of course, but due to chargeback risk I won’t send. Just wanting to put an end to it.

So by fraudulent I mean they used someone else’s money to buy my product. I’m not really the one on the sticky end here.

don´t know how it is in other countries, but, if someone is using a stolen credit card to do a payment within my shop, it should not be my problem, as i cannot have this risk on my own, just hat it once, with braintree credit card payment (paypal company) and just had to proof with invoice, transport papers and delivery and it was fine

To be honest I don’t really get it anyway. Why buy stuff that you’d then have to sell to actually make money. We sent one very suspicious order out and it ended up in customs with tax slapped on it. Of course the person that ordered never paid or even communicated, since their identity might become known, so now I guess we’ll try to get it back. Anyway, maybe I’ll install some sort of app that does the job. Or just sit back and see what happens. Thanks Thomas!

they are ordering for their client. They probably sell it half the price to client and then come to you shop purchase it with stolen credit card. Since they receive money from their own clients, it does not really matter
