I have a 10% conversion rate on website leads in the construction industry.

It seems to be very effective. Paying about $10 for each lead and net about 500 for those.

Work based off numbers, not speculation. How much can you afford to pay for a conversion? Try to get the cost under that. And just keep optimizing for eternity

@damning my ads seem to be doing so well I'm afraid to touch them

Never turn off a winning ad. Stack 'em.

@carmelcarmela79 indeed. What do you mean stack them though? Make more variations?
by (3.5k points)
Stack winning ad sets. However you vary them. Just keep testing, keeping the winners and cutting the losers.

@sulphurize Yes find a champion and introduce challengers. You can run 3 ads for a month (or how ever long you need to reach statistical significance, depending on your impression volume) Keep the best 1 and introduce 2 more challengers to see if they can win

I just realised this is a Google not a Facebook post. I retract my answer. Run experiments with drafts and split test ads.

Here is what I have currently for conversions over the past week or so. There are honestly much more phone calls coming through our Google voice number we use for tracking than the 9 that is displayed. I just want to know, is this a unicorn?

Judging by the numbers, you're going to need a lot more data to make any meaningful decisions

I would distinguish between conversion rates for purchases and leads at least - in which case I’d say: over 1% for purchase and over 10% for leads - good conversion rate

It's just not possible to determine sorry. You have to try and figure it out. Do the research about the niche your targeting or doing work for. Learn about optimizing landing pages to increase conversions. It really doesnt matter what the standard is. Every market is different and every clients needs are different.

Are you trying to sell water to a dying-of-thirst man (100% CR) or a drowning man (0% CR)? There's no such thing as a "good" average. Conversion rate is primarily a function of the strength of your offer and the relevance of your audience.

The best I've seen was 100%, when I was testing my tracking

I get the odd feeling that most in this group are either an affiliate marketer or in e-commerce. Anyone here advertising for their own business not e-commerce or affiliate marketing?

I use Adworks for my own businesses. I used to get a great conversion rate but it has dwindled over the years. The ROI isnt great but it is a necessary evil
