Hi everyone.  I am kind of a newbie with Google Ads.Hi everyone. I am kind of a newbie with Google Ads. I have a question : I have a website and we track currently "contact page" visits as conversions. Should I keep tracking these as conversions or rather create a conversion action set with only "form submits" + "email clicks" and stop counting these contact page views as conversions ? Thanks for your help :)

Well do you really want to pay for people simply visiting your contact page? What is that worth to you? 99. 9% of the time, you should only track actual submissions of the form. Easiest way is to track views of a thank you page. So yes; form submits and phone calls are usually the basic things you need to track.

@cowper 100% this. Look into setting up a goal in analytics of a view of the contact page and import that as a conversion into google ads.

And should I add a callto: on my website? I know that a lot of people prefer to simply write the number on their phones by watching it on the screen rather than clicking on it.

You can also track a VPV, virtual page view if you don't have a Thanks page

@fullmer55 that’s not right, most on mobile devices will click the number to call. You should add your number ideally in the header of your site and a clickable text link. That way you can also use Google’s free call tracking capabilities.

You should do each conversion goal separately in order to dial in what really brings yuh out business
