Question- would anyone recommend negative targeting locations even if you have a targeted locations? Example- targeting NYC excluding the rest of the USA?

Yes, but it can depend. I would say target NYC without excluding and if you keep spending money where you don’t want to then add negative target. Collect data first and then add the exclusion if you need to.

Yes it can. It’s not always perfect though and some can slip through the cracks. So that’s why I always recommend using the data.

Make sure to adjust your location settings from the recommended to people in the location regularly. It’s kind of hidden and defaults to anyone interested in the location.

I exclude everywhere in the world in most final builds on those type campaigns. Except for the exact area im targeting.

Make a cheat sheet and just bulk exclude the locations
