Manual click or smart bidding? Is it cheaper cost per click to let Google’s smart bidding take over.

@andrews I’ve been using AdWords for 15 years and have watched the landscape change a lot. I do have a massive negative keyword database and manual click us always worked. then it started Google reps started calling multiple times a day for months new reps were fishing for info on the industry that I worked the most and I knew changes were coming.

@strapless11070 - Google rep mantra - switch to smart campaigns and increase budget. It's happening - but what happens when everyone has done it?

Depends. I usually start with smart bidding, to see conversations and cpc and then after testing move to manual.

Manual then when you have enough conversion you could try and switch to target cpa

Another option: Manual until you get >30 conversations then switch to "Maximize conversions"
