My sister does that and gets all of her work from leaving business cards at churches and wedding places. I don’t think she’s missed a weekend in 5 or 6 years doing that. I think she even leaves business cards at the license place

Yup. I used AdWords, CPC is high due to competition but it’s highly effective. Far greater results than other ads (FB etc).

I am wedding photographer and would like to have a word about it! . I tried three agencies during last 10 months. All failed ! Google adwords is not working because people hate ads and nobody is going to click it ! That's bullshits ! I had fake clicks all the time and they always keep saying that it works but people couldn't find what were looking for! What a joke! Spend a few thousands euro already, no even one booking or phone call. Better invest your money in Instagram, wedding blogs SEO than Adwords. Thats my opinion!

That's unfortunate but just because you landed with 3 agencies that didn't know what they were doing or care to do a good job for you does not mean that it doesn't work. There are many ways to spend money on Google ads but far fewer ways to make money.

@penicillin believe me or not but i was so positive about google ads at the beginning . I thought it might change my position on the market but i just lost money. Dont take me wrong but maybe in Us, Canada and bigger countries works perfect but in the such a small country where i live it doesn't. The thing is i was thinking maybe the ads are not visible but tried for so many keywords on different devices in incognito window and was at the top mostly so why didn't work for me! The clicks landed in 95% with home page and i tried to observe with analytics and what i saw was just click/main page/ 1-2 min/ out . I have call to action in mobile and etc and nothing! I tried explain the agency what is going on but they even didnt listen what i say. It was like dont worry everything is fine , yeah right! its all good! Another thing was i went with recommendation from other people, maybe not from the same industry but anyway and i am so disappointed !

@preheat There are a lot of different reasons that a campaign doesn't work, and sometimes it is the geographic market. However, if you were getting traffic and not converting, it sounds like a landing page issue. If you had an agency that saw they weren't sending you leads and made excuses, that is a major problem right there.

I use adwords maximum 1 or 2 month per year. Thats enough, as in Berlin-Brandenburg (Germany) keyword competition is high. The click Price budget for a request is here between 150 and 250 € in my case. Too high. Could be optimized of course, but agencies will charge hundreds of Euros extra per month. Last booking costed me 150 €, then i quitted adwords again after 2 weeks :) Thats ok, but for me SEO and recommendations work much better.

We use Google Ads for wedding, business head-shot and real estate photography clients. Works very well.

Yes, I've had success with both wedding and headshot photography! Also, had a couple fail. It was all about the landing page and the price point. If your site is not good or you're not charging the right amount for the quality of pics you take, it won't convert. Also, make the form simple. Don't ask 20 questions for them to contact you. All that stuff you can ask on a follow up email or phone call. Make it as simple as possible to get in contact with you.
