Google Ads just tried to sell me their services to build, run, and adjust a shopping campaign. For a minimum of $75/day in adspend. Seems high to me. When I asked what kind of ROI I should expect to see, they said they couldn’t provide any data and that I’d have to do it and see how great it will be. It was a pretty hard sell. Your thoughts?

I wouldn’t trust anyone that hasn’t worked directly in the jewelry-esque space you’re in. Google reps leave most incredibly disappointed, unfortunately, as they aren’t marketers themselves. They’re software technicians. $75/day is pennies if you’re getting ROI. You could spend 100k/day in the jewelry space. I haven’t worked on those type of shopping ads, so wouldn’t even waste your time offering to help. Be picky as hell though!

If you’re looking for guarantees, you’re in the wrong business. If you want to start slow and cap your budget, you will also learn slower lose time in the process. Which is fine if you can’t afford it. Above all things though: what is your own goal? Define that before you engage with anyone at all.

The products listed on your website are supposedly meant for a niche category of audiences which is why ROI cannot be predicted by anyone. Infact the predictions given by google forecast interface or facebook forecast can also prove to be wrong. For such kind of products, it depends how well you describe your product through your creatives and ad copies. I suggest you should doing it manually starting slow and raising your daily budget gradually based on performance of keywords. You must also pay more attention towards negative keywords, audience targeting, demographics, and bidding strategy. For more info you may connect with us: info@onezeroin. com
