I usually charge clients between $1000 - $1, 500 a month to manage their Google Ads accounts depending on budget, size of the account, how much time it’s going to take me each month, and potential revenue generation. Currently, all I run are Google Search and Shopping campaigns with some remarketing and display sprinkled in. Looking to expand my services into Google My Business Management & Optimization and Facebook ads. I’m curious, how do you guys package these service? Do you do them al a carte or do you have certain packages you offer? If so, what kind of price points do you put your packages into? Just like for a general idea or range. Thanks!

@boart thats fantastic. Congrats!

@greggs thanks. I’ve been a lot more selective with clients based off of budgets, industry, and most importantly. personality. Some clients aren’t worth the money and I’m starting to be able to vet them out by a few conversations.

I generally base Facebook off the budget and provide it as an add-on service rather than a stand alone service. My full retainer clients generally pay me 500 - 1000 per month to manage 1000 - 5000 Facebook budget. Generally what that means is DPA for cart viewers/abandoners, one or two category retargeting ad sets, and a warm audience campaign for whatever the sale is that's going on. Sometimes a giveaway, or if they have the creative I'll do a little top of funnel advertising to a 1% lookalike audience or similar. I really call this "Facebook light" where we are going for the low hanging fruit and it works well - roas averages 4:1 even when looking only at click attribution. It doesn't take a lot of my time to manage (5 hours a month roughly) and it's great for those businesses that don't/can't churn out creative assets. I also have a low category I've been adding clients to, $500 per month for smart shopping and DPAs. I have 3 clients currently on this plan and all are very happy, been 6+ months for all of them. Average amount of time it takes me to manage that is 2-3 hours per month including a 30 minute meeting. I want to scale that plan this year.

I charge a one time cost for GMB optimizations depending on what they need such as web site work and listing work- then a monthly reoccurring amount. How much you charge really depends on how much effort it takes to keep them in the map packs. I live in a area where there are a lot of small tourist towns and it’s not a huge amount of competition so it’s relatively easy once the one time work is done to keep them there monthly, so I charge $550 a month . I bill Google ads separately at a set rate based on budget and ad groups.

Can inpls ask how many hours of work is inkcided in your $1000-$1500 per month management fee for PPC?
by (4.6k points)
@yearbook depends on the rate, but anywhere from 5 to 14

It depends on the account and industry honestly. Usually I spend 2-3 hours per account per week. So roughly $80-$100 per hour.

We have retainers from $1800 - $25000+ (the latter are spending well into 6 figures a month). We bill hourly and based on account complexity.

I do one-time setup fee then monthly maintenance. If the number of campaigns and media budget increase, then I'll review the monthly maintenance fee and inform the client of a potential increase of fees.
