However, I get a lot of searches for "Buy Houses" for people looking to buy a house for themselves. Any suggestions for negative keywords to filter them out? Thanks

Need to do exact match keywords and lots of negative keywords to filter out the fluff. Similar to screen pair for pools and phone screen repair.

You need to switch your keywords over If you’re trying to get people to sell their homes, they’ll search things like “sell home fast” etc Use keywords like +Sell +Home +Sell +Home +Fast

Frank, thanks. I have those too.

You're looking for people who want to sell. So use the keywords THEY would be using (hint: it's not 'BUY')

Ruby, thanks. Actually a google suggested keyword search is “people who buy homes fast” (which I also have). Not sure how to navigate that

It may be, but they want you to spend as much money as possible, not necessarily make as much money as possible. Always think of marketing as offering solutions to people who have problems, and advertising as getting that solution in front of the people who need it. Ergo, you pick your keywords on the basis of what ppl who need YOUR service are looking for, not things that Google thinks might be tangentially relevant to people in the real estate market.

@pensionary14891 you could try doing an exact match for that KW (not broad or phrase) and then do “buy homes” as a negative KW for exact match.
